An antique Tibetan prayer box — known as a ghau — hand-carved in brass and inlaid with lapis, coral, emerald, sapphire, and ruby.
Goddess Marichi, whose name means “ray of light,” is depicted in lapis and coral. In Buddhist tradition, she is associated with dawn — a protective presence linked to illumination, clarity, and the ability to move forward through uncertainty.
The prayer box itself was traditionally worn to carry sacred contents — texts, relics, or personal objects — close to the body. Here, it remains both object and function.
Suspended on a kyanite bead chain.
Worn as a statement, or kept on its own.
Box dimensions: 6 × 5.5 × 3 cm Chain length: 72 cm
Sugati was founded by a Persian-American designer who brought her rich, layered heritage to Bali, where she built her line around ethical sourcing and working with local craftswomen. Each piece draws from the deep spiritual traditions of the world — not as aesthetic borrowing, but as genuine devotion to what these symbols, stones, and stories carry. It’s exactly why I fell in love with this brand.
