Myrrh Incense Resin

Myrrh grounds and protects, accompanies transitions, and soothes. It is the dried resin of the Commiphora tree, burned as incense since the days of ancient Egypt.

Its smoke is warm, balsamic, and resinous, with a bitter edge, and its name comes from a Semitic word for bitter. It appears in the bible as one of the three gifts brought to the newborn Jesus, and it has long been part of anointing and sacred rites.

For burning only. Not for consumption. Burn it on a charcoal tablet, or on a fine mesh sieve over a tea light in an incense burner. Never leave it burning unattended.
